Improve Home and Work Safety with LED Lights

LED security lights are essential in providing a safe environment at home for family and friends and at work for employees. The brightness of using LED lights brings more value, are longer lasting, and shines brighter than traditional light fixtures. Using quality LED lights can last 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs, which are what has traditionally been used, and use 75% less energy. LED bulbs generate almost no heat, which will help reduce costs of not only running the light but will also keep the air conditioning from running to counteract the heat from traditional lights.

For home use, LED lights have an exceptionally long lifespan. A typical LED light that burns 8 hours a day can last up to 17 years. A LED security light can make your home safer at night by lighting up the darkest spots outside of your house. LED lights provide clear visibility, allowing you to see anything prowling in the shadows that would normally go unseen with undirected traditional lighting. Some LED security lights are set up to specifically work with security surveillance to provide improved visibility that allows the homeowner to get clear and well-defined image or video of possible intruders.

At the workplace, LED lights can improve safety for those employees who work the late night and early morning shifts. LED lights are luminous and have a much lower operating cost and a longer life expectancy. LED lights improve personal and operational safety and they enhance security by improving video quality. With its battery backup options, the lights have a better compliance with lighting control, even in a power outage. High pressure sodium (HPS) lamps and traditional lights do not provide direction, instead the send out the light in all directions, wasting energy and light where it is not needed. The light from a LED, however, is angled so that it is directed downwards.

Another pro for LEDs is that they have no warm-up period and a LED bulb life is not affected by cycling on and off like most traditional light systems.  LEDs are perfect for motion-activation use where more light is desired when people are present.  Now, the existing lighting at walkways and waiting areas can be supplemented with motion-activated LED lighting, doubling low energy cost efforts.

The quality of the LED security light has already proved to be efficient and has improved the lives of many.  LED lights have a much lower operating cost and a longer life expectancy than traditional light bulbs. Switching to LED will keep family, employees and yourself safe at night.
